Once registered and fees all paid, your CV will be actively marketed to 1000’s of
accountancy practices via the PIP website. These firms may consider you for an internship
even if you have no experience whatsoever.
Once a firm shows interest in your CV they will contact you directly to arrange
an interview.
After that it’s up to you!
Once you have received an offer of a placement you have the option to 'Hide' your
CV via your 'Profile' page making it unavailable to employers. At any time you can
'Publish' your CV again to make it once more available to employers.
You can also update your CV on our website at any time for work experience gained
and/or examinations passed as well as any administration issues such as change of
address or telephone number.
Your placement could be short term or long term; it depends on how much experience
the accountancy firm can give you towards membership of your professional body.
You could, for example, spend 6 months with a small firm as a junior a couple of
days each week, then be placed with a larger firm to develop your junior role. Then
later move on to another firm as a semi-senior and so on.
You could be placed from the outset with a firm who can give you relevant practical
training as a junior, semi-senior and then senior over a long term period of time.
Whilst we will do everything we can to find you a suitable placement, we cannot
guarantee that you will be placed and no registration fees can be refunded if no
placement(s) found
